Frequently Asked Questions - Interpreting Test Results
Your results will be sent to you in an SMS & WhatsApp text to your mobile phone. You should receive your results within 3 weeks. If you do not receive your results SMS, or WhatsApp type “NO RESULTS <IC Number>” and SMS or WhatsApp to or call the ROSE hotline at 03-2779 7782
You will receive an SMS & WhatsApp stating your cervical screening test result is normal (HPV not detected). This means that your risk of developing abnormal cell changes in the cervix is extremely low. Please repeat your cervical screening test after 10 years. If you experience any abnormal vaginal bleeding, pain or discharge make an appointment to see your doctor or nurse.
You will receive an SMS & WhatsApp stating HPV was detected in your cervical screening test sample. This result does not mean you have cervical cancer. However, you require follow up to check there are no abnormal cell changes present in the cervix. Contact the Program ROSE team Mondays to Fridays between 9am-5pm via the phone number sent to you in the SMS/WhatsApp for follow-up advice.
